    things i do for work that i always think i hate but i actually don't:

    #1: telling people they didn’t get the job.  i dread those calls for the same reasons i end up enjoying them— i like the people we interview.  but while i hate being the bearer of bad news, talking to nice people on the phone is never that bad.  they almost always say positive things about our company and their experience, and sometimes they say embarrassingly nice things about working with me.

    as tough and as stressful as my job can be sometimes, it’s still an awesome company and apparently i’m pretty okay at what i do.  that feels like victory.
